We believe that kids are the Church of the Future

This means that we must serve, train, and love them today so that God can use them as leaders and servants for generations to come.

Babies and Toddlers

Our Babies and Toddlers Room is for 0-2 year olds. Here, vKids leaders show babies and toddlers the love of God by caring for them and teaching them through simple words and songs. When a child turns 2 years old, he or she will be promoted to the Preschool Rooms.

Preschool

Our Preschool Rooms are for children ages 2-until they begin Kindergarten. Our preschoolers have two rooms. The first room is for children who are 2-3 and may not be fully potty-trained. This room is equipped with a restroom, filled with age-appropriate toys and games for the children to have fun and learn before and after the worship and story time. The second room is for children who are 3-5. We have an amazing team who leads our preschoolers to learn God’s Word and worship Him through Bible stories, songs, movement, and activities. After a child enters kindergarten, he or she will be promoted to the School-Age Room.

School-Age

Our School-Age Room is for children in K-5th grade. At Vintage we believe that learning in circles and in rows is the best way to grow, which is why we have worship gatherings and community groups. At vKids, we try to do the same thing. The School-Age Room is an area that allows school-age children to have a large-group style gathering that mirrors what adults do in the worship gathering in a fun and engaging way. Afterward, they will have small group time guiding the children through discussion, activities, and prayer. After a child completes fifth grade, he or she will be promoted to vStudents, Vintage’s student ministry, the following August.

Vintage Church exists to:

  • Live the Gospel
  • Serve the City
  • Be the Church

vKids exists to:

  • Learn the Gospel
  • Love Each Other
  • Become the Church

vKids accomplishes this through:

Truth

Every vKid should know that God loves them.

Truth is using all means possible to teach and model the love of God to our children, culminating in the Gospel, which is God’s redemption of humanity through the sacrificial death and resurrection of his Son. We want every child to know and to have a chance to respond to the Gospel. vKids serves children from newborn through fifth grade.

Safety

Every vKid should have a clean, secure environment, and trustworthy leaders.

Safety is the commitment we make to parents and children that vKids will always strive to have trustworthy leaders and team members, a clean, safe environment, and procedures in place to protect every child that walks through our doors.
If you do need to nurse, change the diaper of, or be with your child at any time during the worship gathering, we offer a Mothers’ Courtesy Room at your convenience. This is a private environment for you to be able to care for your child.

Partnership

Every vKid has a family, so serving vKids means serving families. There are two primary influences in a child’s life: The Church & The Home
  • The average parent has 3000 hours of influence in a given year.
  • The average church only has 40 hours.

We desire to help kids to learn the Gospel, love each other, and to become the Church, but we know that we aren’t in this alone. We are here to partner with you, the family. We want to see two voices saying the same thing so we can have the greatest impact. We want to see a true partnership between parents and vKids.

We call this the Orange Strategy. We are joining the light of the church, yellow, with the love of the home, red. By combining the critical influences of the light of the church and the love of the family, the Orange Strategy synchronizes efforts and shows a generation who God is, more effectively than either could alone.

Fun

Every vKid should enjoy coming to church.

Fun is the art of making vkids a place where kids want to be.

We do this with an amazing team who loves your children and enjoys the time spent with them. We also use lots of glue and crayons, confetti, bubbles, and party hats! We use skits, games, costumes, videos, pipe cleaners, stickers and more to teach the Bible in an engaging way. Even if a child leaves without being able to recite this week’s memory verse, he or she should walk away with a pleasant memory, a new friend, and a desire to come back next week.
